  • 1954 - Construction started on Pad 5
  • January 1955 - U.S. Government accepted Pad 6
  •  20 April 1955 to 27 June 1961 - Total 18 Redstone launched from Pad 6
  • 15 March 1956 to 15 January 1958 - Total 19 Jupiter A launched from Pad 6
  • 19 July 1956 - First Jupiter A launched from Pad 5
  • 20 September 1956 to 24 August 1958 - Jupiter C launched Explorer 3, 4, and 5 plus one test flight from Pad 5
  • 15 May 1957 to 8 August 1957 - Two Jupiter C launched from Pad 6
  • 23 October 1958 - Juno I launched from Pad 5
  • 6 December 1958 to 13 October 1959 - Juno II launched Pioneer 3, 4 and 8 from Pad 5
  • 1 October 1959 to 5 February 1960 - Four Jupiter launched from Pad 6
  • 21 November 1960 - First Mercury Capsule 1 launched by Redstone from Pad 5
  • 19 December 1960 - Mercury capsule 1A launched by Redstone from Pad 5
  • 31 January 1961 - First Chimpanzee "Ham" launched in Mercury Redstone from Pad 5
  • 5 May 1961 - First Manned sub-orbital Mercury launch, Alan Shepard, Freedom 7 from Pad 5
  • 21 July 1961 - Second Manned sub-orbital Mercury launch, Gus Grissom, Liberty Bell 7 from Pad 5
  • 21 November 1960 - 21 July 1961 - Total of 6 sub-orbital Redstone Mercury flights launched from Pad 5
  • 31 January 1964 - Launch Complex 5/6 reassigned to Air Force Space Museum
  • 15 September 1999 - Hurricane Floyd blew down mockup Redstone Mercury on Pad 5 and the mockup was restored shortly afterward
